Thanks for your Submission!
We hope to work with you soon on your new tattoo! Check your email, and if you got an automated email back, that means that we have received your submission. Sometimes we get back right away, sometimes it can take up to 24 hours for us to get to your request, especially during our summer busy season. We will do our best to be as prompt as possible, while also taking care of our current clients. If you are new to tattooing, or this is your first tattoo, we have some additional frequently asked questions below to prepare you for your appointment
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
For the most part, wearing loose and comfortable clothing is always a good base-line. You always want to take into consideration where you are getting tattooed, and what might need to be exposed in order to tattoo that area. So for shoulder and upper arm tattoos, bringing a tank top with you is great. If you are getting your leg tattooed, loose shorts, and short shorts if you are working on the upper thigh. If you want to do a tattoo in the sternum/chest areas, or back tattoos, its best to have a button-up or hoodie in order to cover any front areas you don't want exposed while still having the working area available.
WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
Whether it's your first or 50th tattoo, it always goes best when you are well-rested, hydrated, and have eaten a good meal beforehand. Especially for larger pieces where you may be here the whole day, it is important to make sure you've eaten plenty, as well as bring any snacks or food that you may need to be comfortable for a long day. It is important to make sure your blood sugar levels are good, so maybe bring a soda or some candy as well. It is important to avoid alcohol the night before, and during the day of your appointment.
THIS IS MY FIRST TATTOO, I'M SO NERVOUS!
Awesome, thanks so much for trusting us with your first! While it is very easy to be nervous about your first tattoo, it usually dissipates as soon as you have sat down in our chair with your artist. Our shop is a very calm and welcoming space, and we would love if you let us know that it's your first, so we can guide you through the process a little more than we do with our regular clients. This is again where people can often get so excited they forget to eat or drink anything in the morning, and then realize it halfway through the tattoo process. Our staff is friendly and welcoming, and we will do anything we can to help you have a positive experience.
IS IT GOING TO HURT?
Inherently, yes tattoos do hurt, but it is a broad spectrum of experience for each different person, and also varies greatly depending on the part of your body. Arms tend to be the easiest for most folks, while the legs and core of the body can be a bit more sensitive. Often times, it's actually the pain of sitting in strange positions for long periods of time that most people struggle with. If you have any questions or concerns, please voice them with your individual artist at your session.
WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
For the most part, we only accept Cash, Card, or Venmo. Credit card does charge a 2.5% fee, Venmo does not. We do not have an ATM.
WHAT IS YOUR TIPPING POLICY?
While tipping in the tattoo world is generally common, it is not a forced obligation and we recognize the issues with it within other industries. While we always appreciate it immensely, please do not feel as though it is expected, especially if you are budgeting for a large tattoo and wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise. Monetary tips are great, but if you appreciate your tattoo work and want to show us love in different ways, leaving us a Google or Yelp review is equally as helpful to us. If you do, please mention your artist by name!
