FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
DO YOU TATTOO MINORS, WITH PARENTAL CONSENT?
No, we do not under any reason, tattoo anyone underage EVEN if you have parental consent. There are many reasons for this, the biggest being that our insurance will not cover it, as well as it is unwise to mark a body permanently that is still growing and developing. We all had to wait, and so do you if you'd like to get work from us.
DO YOU DO PIERCINGS OR SELL JEWELRY?
No, we do not do piercings, or sell jewelry of any kind.
DO YOU HAVE ANY SAME-DAY AVAILABILITY?
Our current summer scheduling is that we are open daily from 11-6 besides Tuesdays, which we are closed. We are sometimes available for walk-ins or same-day appointments, it is just on a first-come first-served basis if we are not already booked up. The best way to find out about availability is to fill out the contact form on the main page of this website and we will respond as promptly as possible. You can also call the shop at 970-473-2202 during normal business hours to inquire about walk-in openings.
CAN YOU DO TATTOOS FOR A GROUP OF PEOPLE?
Yes, we can definitely accommodate groups in the shop and we do quite often! The best way to book for a group is always in advance, especially if they are medium sized tattoos or bigger, or a group of 5 or more. We can sometimes do a walk-in/same day group, but that just depends on what it is, and what our schedule is looking like. If you are thinking about doing tattoos for a group of people, it is super helpful for us if you can pick one person as the contact person, and collect together your tattoo ideas together ahead of inquiring. Any other information you can get to us such as sizing, placement, color, group size details, and other details including your phone number and contact info all in one direct email to driftwoodtattoostudio@gmail.com is always the best.
DO YOU HAVE A SHOP MINIMUM PRICE?
Our shop minimum is $100, even for the smallest tattoos. This is because whether or not if a tattoo takes 5 minutes or 5 hours, the setup costs on our end are the same with all the necessary supplies and sterilization for your tattoo.
WHAT IS YOUR PRICING?
Our pricing will vary, based on what artist you end up working with. We will normally be working at an hourly rate of $100 and up, unless you are doing a project that is at a stated, fixed price rate, such as predrawn flash designs. If you are ever curious about pricing, we will happily clarify any questions with you before the session starts. We will also always give free in-person consultations for designs, large or small. If it is an hourly rate pricing project, we will do our very best to give you an accurate time estimate of the project; but especially on larger, more detailed, or full color projects, it can sometimes vary just based on the body placement, or how one person's body takes ink vs another. We will always try to aim higher with our quote than lower, just to be safe.
WILL YOU TATTOO A DESIGN OF SOMEONE ELSES?
For the most part, we really try to avoid tattooing designs that are someone else's work. Our hope is to always be creating custom work, and tattoos that are unique for each person. If you have a design that you found off of the internet that you really love, we can do it, but our preference is always to try to draw something similar but still slightly different to add our own twist. We are always happy to sit and talk it out with you and make sure you are happy with your work. In the long run, we believe it's your body and your choice. If your request is out of the scope of what our artists feel comfortable with though, either design-wise or skill set wise, we will do our best to find a middle ground, but in the end we do always reserve the right to refuse a client work for any reason.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY?
We do not offer refunds on any tattoo work, and deposits are all non-refundable. Deposits are taken to hold your appointment, and because of how busy we can get, if you have to cancel your appointment last-minute, you may cancel but this fee will go towards our lost time. Deposits will always go towards the cost of your tattoo, and will be credited when you pay at the completion of the art session. If you do need to cancel your appointment for any reason, we ask that you do it as promptly as possible so that we can adjust our schedules otherwise.
